I have always worked out in phases, short phases, then tire, find excuses, and move on. I have been known to spend, or waste, money on gym memberships, workout tapes, and equipment that have gone unused. Despite good intentions, it has always been difficult to find a workout plan that suited me. My preference, to be honest, has always been jogging, but with weak knees and tight calves, I would inevitably get hurt, and again my phase of trying to get into shape would end.

Luckily, Loyalty Fitness found me because I happen to work in the same building. Mindy approached me in the lobby, and with her incredible energy, she talked me into a free session. I was skeptical, but Mindy sold me on the idea to give the slow and intense workout a try. I warned her not to be offended if I didn’t stay long as I only work out in short phases. Well, almost two years later, I am still here. This is by far the longest phase I have ever maintained.

They have gone above and beyond in creating an individualized workout program that incorporates exercises specific to my needs.

I have had the great opportunity to work with all of the trainers in the Greenwich studio. They are incredibly kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. In our sessions, they have motivated me to not only strengthen my muscles to look leaner but also to protect my knees, calves, and really any joints that older age has affected. They have gone above and beyond in creating an individualized workout program that incorporates exercises specific to my needs. They have taught me to safely use the machines, do wall-sits and bridges with weights, and has also taught me to better my posture, all of which I would not have received or successfully implemented in another program, gym, or workout class. The attention to my needs, the focus to always push, slow down when lifting, and to increase weights appropriately has completely changed the way I feel and exercise. I am now able to jog without any pain. I now know it is safer to exercise because, for the first time, I have muscles to protect my joints.

I truly could not be happier and could not recommend Loyalty Fitness with more enthusiasm. It is safe to say, I don’t foresee this phase ending anytime soon.

72 Years Old and Feeling Like 49

It was in the 80’s when an acquaintance suggested that I work with a Personal Trainer (PT).

I remember laughing at the idea of paying someone to watch me exercise. Nevertheless, my husband and I signed up with the trainer my acquaintance suggested, and I started seeing some great results. After a couple of years, we moved to New York and said farewell to our first PT. Subsequently, we worked with a couple of PT’s but decided to take a break from personal training after one PT moved and we became disenchanted with her replacement.

Time passed until we heard about an adult fitness facility, which seemed to be a perfect fit for us. My husband and I worked out there two or three times a week for two-and-a-half hours each time, but we started to get too many injuries. We began to wonder, “What is wrong with this picture?” I tore a meniscus in my knee, which caused much pain, and I had to have physical therapy and wear a knee brace for a long time. It was very frustrating because I was very limited in my activities.

Finally, a very good friend of ours told us about the SuperSlow Strength Training method. Initially, I just listened, but my husband read everything he could find on the topic and decided to sign up with Loyalty Fitness. He was extremely pleased with the results, working out only thirty minutes a day, twice a week, with full supervision. He was getting better results than when he was working out two-and-a-half hours a day, two or three times a week with no supervision.

My husband kept encouraging me to join Loyalty Fitness, and I finally did. Great decision! My knee issue is resolved, and I am getting steadily stronger. I love the challenge that the SuperSlow Strength training method presents as well as the guidance I receive to help me shed some pounds at the same time. My upper-body strength improved 163%, and my lower-body strength improved 59% in just nine months. What a great reward—Improve strength, lose weight, wear smaller size clothing and do all this is just 30 minutes a day, twice a week.

In the summer of 2018, my husband and I went to Switzerland to hike in the Swiss Alps. Unbelievable! I was climbing those mountains with greater ease than I could ever have imagined, and it was pain free. I had no problem with my knee, and I did not have to wear my knee brace! In recent months, I have been going to NYC with a friend and walking between 70 to 90 blocks without any problem at all. I feel like a Bionic Woman. Bring me the challenges, and I’ll conquer them thanks to my SuperSlow Strength Training workouts! Jean Betz, my Loyalty Fitness trainer, knows how to motivate me, and that adds much to the effectiveness and enjoyment of each workout. What an efficient way to keep in shape—Thirty minutes a day, twice a week! My husband and I truly look forward to our workouts at Loyalty Fitness!

I look foward to my workouts!!

I am a 66 yr old female, I have had some bone loss so I am working with lifting weights to keep my bones and balance strong in a safe way. I find it easier to commit myself to working out on a weekly basis one on one with a personal trainer than doing it on my own.
There is consistency with my trainer and she gives me a great workout, I’ve had her since I first began with Loyalty Fitness. I find her very accommodating when I need to change my schedule. It is a very welcoming and uplifting atmosphere. I don’t live close but I don’t mind the drive out to Loyalty Fitness. My trainer and I are both committed to helping me take care of my workout needs to keep me healthy, body and mind. I’m glad to be working out there and want to spread the word. I am moving forward, reaching toward more of my health and fitness goals and confident Loyalty Fitness will be there to help me achieve them.

I had a few rough years, from 2015-2017 which brought on a lot of emotional eating and weight gain.

I went through a double knee surgery, relationship issues, lost my job, diagnosed with ovarian cancer and a tumor. I started going through chemo, had a hysterectomy, followed by more chemo. I was given a clean bill of health at the end of 2017.

Along with the emotional eating due to the stress of the past few years, there were also several medications I was on that led to more weight gain. My body was not looking the way I wanted it to and I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror without crying, one day I felt my size 16 jeans were very tight and I refused to go to the next size!

During this hectic time in my life I received a flyer from Loyalty Fitness, I had done something similar years ago and had success, so I thought I would give it a try.

In less than 6 months I’ve lost over 15 pounds and I’m down almost 10 inches and wearing a SMALLER SIZE! I see muscles in my arms and legs and my emotional state of mind has greatly improved.

I am moving forward, reaching toward more of my health and fitness goals and confident Loyalty Fitness will be there to help me achieve them.

At eighty years old, I am delighted with the way my physique has developed with the SuperSlow strength training workouts. 

I started working out with weights when I was sixteen. I’m eighty now and still interested in staying fit, but I became fed up after getting too many injuries working out the conventional way at a local fitness facility.

Then, a friend told me about the SuperSlow strength training method. I read everything I could find on the subject and concluded that the method just makes such perfect sense!

SuperSlow strength training is very intense, so it cannot be done for very long or too frequently. That’s why it is only thirty minutes, twice a week. I used to spend two-and-a-half hours, two or three times a week working out, but I am getting much better results working out 30 minutes a day, twice a week with Loyalty Fitness. I just laughed when I read about a person who was praised for his commitment to physical fitness by spending an enormous amount of time working out. What a waste of time!

Personal one-on-one attention

As a woman in her 60’s, I find working out to be a challenging task.
